SMS, whose mission is “to improve the quality of life by providing information infrastructure for an aging society,” operates “Nurse Senka,” a web community service for nurses and nursing students. Authlete is being used for powering its OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect (OIDC) infrastructure.
“To implement API authorization and identity federation capabilities for this service, we initially considered scratch development of OAuth/OIDC functions or use of Amazon Cognito, but the former was too difficult and the latter did not meet our requirements. Afterwards, we decided to adopt Authlete because we found that it strictly conforms to OAuth/OIDC specifications and can use the existing user authentication and management infrastructure without modification.”said Mr. Kazuki Okamoto, Group Manager, Media Group, Medical Media Department, Medical Career Division.
